GCLLC is about to embark on its first feature-length documentary 'Gandhi's Song'.
The documentary is the first definitive look at the life and times of Narsinh Mehta (1414-1481), one of India's most revered poet-saints whose devotional poetry is sung with great passion nearly six centuries after it was written by him.
To be shot on locations in and around his place of birth Junagadh and other parts of Gujarat, the documentary will offer a comprehensive account of one of the pioneers of the Bhakti movement.
His one bhajan, a devotional ballad, 'Vaishnav Jan To' is considered one of India's most enduring philosophical influences because Mohandas Gandhi made it his life's guiding force.
The documentary is scheduled to be released in 2015.
GCLLC's two proposed feature films include 'Unfinished Love', a family drama drawn from real life events, and a yet untitled political assassination thriller.
'Unfinished Love' is in late pre-production stages. Principal photography will begin in the next four to six weeks.
The untitled thriller is at the final script stage.
